Qualifications

Requires valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to operate a news-gathering vehicle.
1–3 years of newsroom experience preferred.
Experience in photojournalism, editing, and content management systems.
Flexible with schedule, reliable, and dependable.
Demonstrate news judgment and understanding of ethical journalism.
Proven ability to generate creative, engaging, content-driven live shots.
Knowledge of EDIUS or other non-linear editing systems preferred.
Organizational skills and ability to work under time-pressure deadlines.
Ability to handle live breaking news situations calmly and adapt to changing events.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs of photography equipment.

Responsibilities

Capture and produce compelling video and audio for news and related content.
Edit stories using EDIUS for broadcast, digital, and streaming.
Participate in live on-air and live streaming moments, operating a LiveU when assigned.
Work in a team or solo for daily news assignments.
Employ creative production techniques (graphics, viewer photos, webcam interviews) to enhance stories.
Utilize all tools of the profession to make news stories compelling.
Contribute to story concept, equipment maintenance, photography, editing, and live production.
