Job summary

CNBC is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Associate Producer with a passion for storytelling to join our growing digital video team.

The role requires a creative producer and skilled editor with a strong interest in business news, markets, and politics, turning reporting into engaging video content.

Collaborate with reporters and senior producers to craft sharp scripts, shoot and edit under tight deadlines, and contribute to a range of short and long-form pieces.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience shooting and scripting video for a digital news organization.
• Proficiency with cinema cameras and/or DSLR systems (Sony, Canon, Panasonic) and Adobe Premiere.
• Script and/or voice-over writing experience.
• Understanding of multimedia storytelling and online publishing systems.
• Strong collaboration, creativity, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities; comfortable working under tight deadlines.
• Ability to lift, carry, and transport 40lbs of production equipment.
• Portfolio or work samples required (please include links).
• Strong interest in innovative video storytelling and social media strategy.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel when needed.
• Broad knowledge of current events, business, financial, and technology news.
• A sample of the candidate's work will be required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with reporters, producers and senior producers to craft sharp scripts and engaging videos under tight deadlines.
• Contribute to a range of content including reporter-led analysis, breaking news, and daily reporting; participate in mid-form investigations and documentary-style projects.
• Apply curiosity and a critical lens to identify compelling stories that resonate with CNBC's audience.
