Job summary

Beaufort County seeks a seasoned professional to plan, manage, and coordinate construction, improvement, and maintenance of county drainage systems, including road drainage, channels, water quality, and pipe installations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and over ten years of related experience, plus official training in OSHA 10, FEMA courses, hazardous materials, and a valid state Class A CDL. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or GED equivalent.
• Requires over ten years of related experience.
• Valid state Class A CDL with acceptable driving history.
• OSHA 10, FEMA 100 200 700 800, Hazardous material OSHA level 2 training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, assigns and reviews work and establishes work schedules; maintains standards; monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions; gives advice and direction as needed.
• Ensures that compliance inspections are being conducted in a thorough and timely manner.
• Conducts erosion control plans reviews and complete quality control checks of Technician plan reviews.
• Prepares monthly report.
• Assures that the Sedimentation and Erosion Control Ordinance is being correctly enforced.
• Provides general oversight of Stormwater and Erosion Control Technicians.
• Performs related work as assigned.
