Job summary

Egis is seeking a Stormwater Engineer Lead in Round Rock or Austin, TX to drive drainage and flood mitigation projects, mentor teams, and grow the regional stormwater practice.

You will lead design and delivery of municipal projects, build strong client relationships with Central Texas municipalities including Austin, and apply advanced modeling tools to deliver innovative solutions that protect communities.

Qualifications

• Texas PE license and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 10+ years of experience delivering municipal stormwater projects, with at least 3 years in leadership or project management.
• Proven success working with Central Texas municipalities, especially the City of Austin.
• Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Civil 3D or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the team: mentor stormwater professionals in Central Texas; foster a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
• Shape regional strategy: partner with leadership to grow Egis’ Stormwater Practice in Central Texas.
• Deliver complex projects: design and deliver municipal stormwater projects including drainage master planning and flood mitigation.
• Drive business development: cultivate client partnerships, pursue projects, and guide proposals and presentations.
• Promote technical excellence: apply advanced modeling tools to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions.
