Department: Civil/Municipal

Location: Orlando, FL

Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 / year

You’ll lead stormwater projects from early planning through design, permitting, and construction support. This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex water-resource challenges, working directly with clients and agencies, and mentoring emerging talent.

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models and translate findings into practical, buildable solutions.
  • Design drainage systems, storm sewers, detention and retention facilities, and green-infrastructure solutions.
  • Prepare construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and permit documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with clients, contractors, project teams, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct site assessments and field investigations to inform design decisions.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Contribute to proposals, presentations, and client relationships.
What you’ll need

  • Strong experience performing hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analyses and modeling for stormwater and drainage projects. Proficiency with HEC-RAS (1D/2D) is required, including bridge hydraulic (BHR) analyses, bridge and culvert hydraulics, floodplain evaluations, and FEMA/FDOT/local agency studies. Experience with StormWise, EPA SWMM, ICPR, and AutoCAD Civil 3D is highly desirable.
