Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking a Water Resources Engineer in New York, NY to support wet weather infrastructure projects such as stormwater, drainage, and collection systems. Candidate must hold a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree and be a PE or able to licen­sure within six months, with at least five years of related experience and strong modeling skills.

Responsibilities include planning, design, calculations, permits, and cost estimates, plus collaboration with design teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil/environmental engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required or can obtain within 6 months if out-of-state.
• Minimum 5 years of water resources engineering experience.
• Strong hydrologic/hydraulic modeling skills (SWMM, InfoWorks, SewerGEMS).
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning, design and construction support for wet weather projects including CSO/SSO and drainage systems.
• Prepare engineering calculations and analyses of alternatives.
• Develop applications, permits, reports and specifications.
• Estimate project costs and prepare design cost estimates.
• Coordinate across teams and communicate project details to design engineers.
• Assist with proposals, client meetings, and project presentations.
• Conduct on-site inspections and attend meetings.
