SALARY RANGE

$34,760.00 - $38,236.00 Annually $1,336.92 - $1,470.62 Biweekly

The hiring salary may exceed the maximum posted salary.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish and maintain an inventory of supplies, materials and equipment to be provided to the departments. Review Supply Inventory Management System report to ensure an acceptable level of inventory materials and supplies is maintained. Initiate purchase orders for stores’ items to maintain stock levels and obtain special supplies and materials as required. Ensure receiving reports are prepared and forwarded to accounting within the established timeframes.

Oversee, inspect and organize the warehouse area for space, utilization, cleanliness and safety standards. Conduct physical inventory of stores items on a periodic basis. Rotate stock and dispose of outdated or excess materials and supplies as needed to maintain a quality product. Coordinate the receipt and inspection of supplies. Oversee the loading, packaging and distribution of supplies.

Fill supply requisitions. Ensure supplies are issued from stock or direct charges and delivered to the appropriate resident home or department in a timely manner. Inform supervisor of delivery discrepancies or problems with warehouse commodities. Maintain a working knowledge of the computer system utilized in warehouse operations. Initiate stock numbers and prepare product item description for the computerized inventory system.

Provide advice and technical assistance to Tacachale staff regarding any warehouse problems. Maintain a safe, orderly and clean work environment by observing good storage procedures. Assist in the care and maintenance of the storeroom, supplies and equipment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Must be able to climb a ladder.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs without accommodations.
  • Must be able to reach overhead.
  • Must be able and willing to operate warehouse machinery.

This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035.

As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT

It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
