The Suffolk County Water Authority is seeking a Storeroom Supervisor to oversee storeroom operations in Oakdale, ensuring effective inventory control and material management. The role requires supervising union staff, conducting cycle counts, and reviewing store inventory practices.
The candidate should hold an associate’s degree, have experience in the waterworks industry, and possess strong communication and organization skills. Salaries range from $75,000 to $90,000. Preference for Suffolk County residents.
SCWA is currently seeking a Storeroom Supervisor to supervise the storeroom operations for the Suffolk County Water Authority, ensuring optimal material management and inventory control practices. This position will also establish and maintain a quarterly inventory plan for our main facility and two outlying offices, as well as maintain and control sufficient stock levels to facilitate both SCWA crews and contractors in new construction, maintenance, and emergency installations. There will be regular communication with the procurement department and outside department stakeholders on all material contracts and purchases. This position will report to our Oakdale location with a schedule of Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm.
Salary: $75-90k
Suffolk County residence is highly preferred.
The Authority may accept an equivalent combination of education and experience to meet requirements.
