Job summary

Canteen is hiring a Storeroom Attendant at our Forney, TX location. This role handles receiving, storage and inventory of departmental supplies and food items, and keeps storage areas clean and compliant with sanitation standards.

We offer full-time and part-time schedules with varying days and hours; prior merchandising/retail experience is preferred, and training is available. Online applications are accepted only.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising and retail experience is preferred.
• Willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Receives and inventories supplies and food items for the Food Service Department.
• Stores items in proper containers and locations per guidelines.
• Maintains records of storage temperatures for perishable items.
• Dates, labels and rotates stock, FIFO as required.
• Places orders for food and supplies as per company protocols.
• Secures designated storeroom areas to prevent theft or misuse of chemicals and equipment.
• Transports items to and from storage in suitable containers or vehicles.
• Follows HACCP guidelines during receiving and distribution of food supplies.
• Reports equipment maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required by policy.
