Tessera seeks a reliable Storekeeper to support technical supply and warehouse operations at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor. Responsibility includes inventory control, cataloging, property utilization, and storage management of general and hazardous materials to support operational readiness.

The role requires 0-3 years of warehouse experience, strong knowledge of supply systems, and the ability to obtain necessary security clearances.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma/GED is required.
• 0-3 years of Warehouse Experience.
• Solid working knowledge of supply systems, manuals, and procedural guidelines.
• Familiarity with the organization's supply needs and operations.
• Analytical skills to identify problems, gather data, and apply solutions within established frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical supply tasks within standardized operations.
• Receives, stores, issues, ordering, recording, and checking store items and hazardous materials.
• Utilizes supply systems and established methods to resolve individual supply cases.
• Applies guidelines to specific program requirements and operational variations.
• Collects and analyzes data to resolve supply-related issues.
• Recommends or takes actions based on policy interpretation.
• Receipts for material, arriving via commercial carriers, unloads, checks-in, and processes related documentation.
• Expedites the flow of supply of parts, tools, and material for a shop or subcontractor as well as coordinates supply action between departments or work sections.
• Checks for damage and coordinates the resolution of discrepancies or may process claims for freight damage.
• Research and identify compatible/incompatible chemicals for correct storage and provides MSDS information.
• Performs duties associated with the consolidation, repackaging, labeling, and transporting of material.
• Work includes driving forklifts, high lifts, and vehicles of medium weight.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
