Job summary

Energy Northwest is seeking a Storekeeper for the Columbia Generating Station outage. The role supports plant operations, handling receiving, storage, shipping, and distribution of materials per ANSI/ASME standards using the Passport system.

The position is temporary, with Shifts on six 12-hour cycles; significant overtime paid at 2x, and a starting pay rate of $39.76 per hour. Equal opportunity employer; position open until filled.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate power tools and forklifts and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, disburse, package, crate, and ship spare parts and equipment.
• Inspect and test Quality Class materials as required.
• Maintain quarantined areas for unacceptable items.
• Maintain segregation by Storage Level or Quality Class.
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping on stored items.
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and data terminals.
• Maintain necessary records and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Scheduled Duration: 56 Days

Outage Start Date: April 11, 2025

Hire Dates: March 3-31, 2025, unless otherwise specified

Work Hour During Outage: Generally, six 12-hour shifts per week (straight nights or straight days)

Overtime: Significant overtime pay, often with 20+ hours per week paid at double (2x) the hourly rate of pay

Income Taxes: Washington does not have state income taxes

Unemployment: Washington unemployment benefits are generally available following the end of assignment

General Summary

This is a temporary position supporting the plant's biennial refueling outage.

The storekeeper position provides support to plant operations, maintenance, and crafts. Basic activities include receiving and inspection, shipping, distribution, delivery, pick-up, and loading/unloading supplies from and to common carriers, vendors, and contractors. Storekeepers use the Passport system to receive store, locate, and issue all inventory material in accordance with ANSI standards, SCSIs, and ASME requirements.

Principal Accountabilities

• Receive, store, disburse, package, crate, and ship spare parts, store stock, tools, materials, and equipment.
• Perform and/or assist in the inspection and testing of Quality Class materials.
• Maintain quarantined areas for definition and separation of unacceptable items.
• Maintain segregation by Quality Class or Storage Level Class.
• Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance of stored items as required.
• Operate power tools.
• Maintain required records.
• Operate required equipment (i.e., forklifts, hand trucks, vehicles, trucks).
• Operate required office machines (i.e., adding/calculators and data system terminals).
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping.
• Perform other tasks as required

Required Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED and three years related industrial experience or equivalent military experience in the areas of industrial warehouse operations, storekeeping, receiving, shipping, storing, disbursing, controlling of maintenance materials, items, and tooling.

This is a bargaining unit position and the hourly pay rate is:

$39.76
