Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a Storekeeper in Buffalo, NY to assist in the physical reorganization and management of storeroom areas. You will handle receiving, inspection, put-away, data entry, and inventory control to support operations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and excellent communication, arithmetic, and computer skills. SAP/MM and ERP experience are preferred; lifting up to 50 lbs and the ability to work rotating shifts are required.

• Must have the physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and to stand, bend, climb, reach, lift, and walk.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive care tasks supporting reliability of stored items.

• Processing returns for purchase orders.
• Upkeep and housekeeping of all warehouse storage locations.
• Assist in the identification and correction of material specifications to eliminate duplicate records and ensure data consistency.

OVERVIEW

The Storekeeper assist in the physical reorganization and management of storeroom area.

HOURS

Monday - Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Physical receiving, inspection and put away of goods from vendors, directs delivery to other receiving points and either unloads individually or arranges for unloading by others when necessary.


• Removal, inspection, and issue of goods to operations and warehouse customers.


• Responsible for kitting parts required of planned jobs.


• Responsible to execute required preventive care tasks supporting reliability of stored items.


• System entry of goods receipts from purchase orders as required.


• Physical inventories including cycle counting as directed.


• Processing returns for purchase orders.


• Responsible for accurate and timely data entry.


• Responsible for upkeep and general housekeeping of all warehouse storage locations, including, cleaning, labeling, and physical reorganization as needed.


• Assists in the identification and correction of material specifications to eliminate duplicate records and ensure data consistency.


• Any additional duties not specified above to accomplish the aforementioned tasks, as designated.

WORK EXPERIENCES

• Prior experience working in a storeroom setting.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.


• Effective communication with others is required.

• Ability to deal with people and get along well with them.


• Computer literate (Windows and Microsoft Office skills)


• Have mechanical aptitude. Be familiar with nomenclature and specifications of nuts, bolts, pipe fittings, and a wide variety of general and special parts.


• SAP Materials Management/Inventory Management and standard reporting in SAP or other ERP system.


• Must have the physical ability to lift up to 50lbs. effectively if needed; Must have ability to stand, bend, climb, reach, lift, and walk through work area.


• Must be able to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
