Responsibilities

• Greet neighbors and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance.
• Learn about pets, products, promotions, and programs to give accurate recommendations.
• Process purchases, returns, and other register transactions with accuracy and share loyalty info.
• Complete daily stocking, store recovery, merchandising, price changes, and cleaning.
• Unload and process deliveries safely after training.
• Assist neighbors by carrying items to their vehicles when needed.
• Provide proper care for store pets, including habitats and feeding.
• Answer routine animal care questions and seek leadership when needed.
• Follow cleanliness, animal care, safety, cash handling, and store standards.
• Support coworkers and assist in other areas as needed.
• Communicate concerns to store leadership.

Position Overview-

As a locally owned and operated Pet Supplies Plus franchise, MPM Retail Holdings depends on friendly, dependable team members who care for our neighbors and their pets while maintaining high standards throughout our stores.

The Store Team Member is the foundation of the store team and supports neighbor service, daily operations, stocking, cleanliness, and pet care. Team members may spend more time in areas such as cashiering, stocking, or pet care based on store needs, but are expected to learn and support multiple areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities-

• Greet neighbors, understand their needs, and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance with products and services.
• Learn about pets, products, promotions, and company programs to provide accurate recommendations and outstanding neighbor service.
• Process purchases, returns, and other register transactions with accuracy and efficiency while sharing applicable loyalty program information.
• Complete daily stocking and down stocking, store recovery, merchandising, price changes, and cleaning responsibilities.
• Safely unload and process delivery trucks using approved equipment and procedures after completing required training.
• Assist neighbors by carrying pet food, litter, aquariums, and other purchases to their vehicles when needed.
• Provide proper care for pets in the store, including cleaning habitats, feeding, watering, handling animals, and completing required documentation.
• Answer routine animal care questions within the team member's training and promptly seek leadership assistance when needed.
• Follow standards for cleanliness, animal care, safety, security, cash handling, and overall store conditions.
• Support coworkers and assist in other areas of the store when additional help is needed.
• Communicate neighbor, animal care, operational, or safety concerns to store leadership.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of the business.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders or step stools.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull merchandise weighing 40-65 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate required store equipment after completing appropriate training.
