Murphy USA Inc. is hiring part-time Shift Leads to empower teams and deliver a prompt, friendly customer experience at our Kentucky stores.

You’ll assist customers, operate the register, stock, and help the Store Manager drive performance while maintaining a safe, clean store environment. The role offers daily pay options, healthcare and retirement benefits, education assistance, and clear paths to advancement from Shift Lead to Assistant Manager in as quick as six months, reflecting Murphy's

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of cashier experience.
• High school diploma / GED or at least 6 months of related job experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be 18+ years old (19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky, 21 in specified states).
• Able to bend, stand, reach and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
• Respond to and resolve customer requests and concerns.
• Assist customers with purchases and fuel transactions.
• Operate cash register and ensure fuel and merchandise is available.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Support the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Help lead the team to exceed store performance goals.
• Perform duties including daily/monthly paperwork and training new employees when needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience
• Responding to and resolving customer's requests and concerns
• Assisting customers with purchases and fuel transactions
• Operating cash register
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store's performance goals and objectives
• Performing job related duties as assigned
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including but not limited to completing daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 18+ years of age, 19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky and 21 in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Utah
• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
