Job summary

Murphy USA Inc. in Lake Charles, LA seeks a part-time Shift Lead to deliver fast, friendly service and support daily store operations.

You will assist customers with purchases, manage cash handling, and back up management as needed, ensuring a safe, clean environment and smooth shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience.
• Minimum 3 months of cashier experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Age requirements: 18+, 19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky, 21 in several states.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
• Responding to and resolving customer's requests and concerns.
• Assisting customers with purchases and fuel transactions.
• Operating cash register and ensuring fuel/merchandise availability.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations and team leadership.
• Helping lead the team to exceed store performance goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience

• Assisting customers with purchases and fuel transactions

• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers

• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store's performance goals and objectives
• Performing job related duties as assigned
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including but not limited to completing daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 18+ years of age, 19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky and 21 in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Utah
• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
