Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store - Independence, MO is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate I to greet customers, process transactions, restock, and maintain an organized, welcoming sales floor.

Work schedule is approximately 25 hours per week, with hours 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Saturdays required. Pay is $15.00 per hour, and paid training plus opportunities for growth are provided by The Salvation Army.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
