Citi Trends, Inc. is seeking a Store Sales Associate in the Kansas City area to deliver excellent customer service and maintain knowledge of merchandise to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires a proactive, engaging individual who can work in a dynamic retail setting, handle transactions, and support store operations while adhering to company policies. Flexibility, including nights and weekends, is essential.

Responsabilités

• Processes freight.
• Assists with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customers in a timely fashion, and inviting them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Keeps a professional, neat appearance with name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Supports Loss Prevention procedures and reports incidents of theft or dishonesty.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.

JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Associate is responsible for playing a critical role by delivering excellent customer service and by having knowledge of the merchandise to achieve excellent customer satisfaction. This position requires a proactive and vigilant individual who will remain highly engaged with customers, demonstrate integrity, effective communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic retail setting. The Sales Associate will play a critical role in building a positive work culture, driving employee involvement, and supporting change management efforts within the retail organization.

Key Responsibilities/Outcomes

• Processes freight
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns
• Balances register according to company policy
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks

• Provides proper customer service such as, but not limited to, greeting customer, abides by fitting room policies, rings customer in a timely fashion, thanks customer for shopping at store and invites them to return
• Follows all safety procedures
• Must keep a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains our exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Responsible for assisting Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty and following all current operational policies.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
