Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is hiring a Sales Associate for in-store operations. You will deliver excellent customer service and apply product knowledge to enhance customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, maintaining the sales floor, handling stock and price changes, and supporting store management with loss prevention and merchandising efforts. A high school diploma is required.

• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as, but not limited to, greeting customer, abides by fitting room policies, rings customer in a timely fashion, thanks customer for shopping at store and invites them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Must keep a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains our exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Responsible for assisting Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty and following all current operational policies.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Associate is responsible for playing a critical role by delivering excellent customer service and by having knowledge of the merchandise to achieve excellent customer satisfaction. This position requires a proactive and vigilant individual who will remain highly engaged with customers, demonstrate integrity, effective communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic retail setting. The Sales Associate will play a critical role in building a positive work culture, driving employee involvement, and supporting change management efforts within the retail organization.
