Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Store Representative to stock shelves, set displays, and support merchandising and store operations across locations. You will engage customers, answer questions, and help ensure a great in-store experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Retail, grocery, merchandising, or customer service experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, able to work independently with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Willingness to travel between locations as scheduled and assigned (if needed).

Responsibilities

  • Stock shelves, rotate products, and maintain organized, customer-ready displays.
  • Execute merchandising projects, resets, remodels, and other in-store assignments.
  • Keep backrooms and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Greet customers, assist with product questions, and provide outstanding service.
  • Work collaboratively with Store Managers and team members to complete daily priorities.
  • Use technology to track time, report completed work, and support project execution.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following safety procedures and reporting hazards promptly.
  • Adapt to changing priorities while delivering high-quality work.

Job description

  • Starting at $16.00/hr, up to $18.00/hr (based on experience)
  • Plus an additional $1/hr for Travel premium
  • Availability needed on weekdays and weekends
  • Positions Available:
    • Full-Time, Travel Day Shift: working in between 6:00am - 8:00pm (Based in Southgate with a 30-mile travel radius)
    • Part-Time, Day Shift: working in between the hours of 6:00am - 7:00pm (Lincoln Park)
    • Part-Time, Day Shift: 6am-12pm (Taylor)

What You’ll Do:

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
  • Frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach, and climb a step ladder.
  • Lift and carry products weighing up to 30 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Safely move merchandise, carts, and equipment as needed.
