This position provides a visible presence at the store entrances and exits, mitigating theft and fraud and maintaining a safe and secure environment for associates and customers. The Specialist makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all customers in a prominent, courteous, and friendly manner, deterring opportunities for theft by demonstrating a "command" presence in a company‑issued vest and required black attire, and monitoring the Code 50 package inspection policy. The Specialist walks the sales floor to identify and address potential theft indicators, as directed by store leadership, and partners with store leadership to ensure compliance with loss prevention directives and the minimization of operational shortage.

The base pay range for this role is $17.40 – $17.90 per hour, dependent on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. This range is one component of the total compensation package for employees; other rewards vary by position and location.
