Job summary

NAPA is seeking a Parts Professional to deliver prompt, courteous service in-store, by phone, and at the dealer’s shop. You will look up parts in catalogs and the POS system, process orders accurately, and advise customers with technical product knowledge.

Key duties include maintaining pricing, assisting with stock orders, and supporting store personnel. ASE certification, valid manual transmission capable, and retail hours flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.
• Able to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
• Be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers and line codes to ensure proper selection and delivery of parts, including identifying sequences of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Enjoy working with people in a fast-paced setting; be competitive, yet have the ability to work calmly under pressure.
• ASE Parts Specialist (automotive) certified.
• Be able to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission.
• Able to work retail hours at any store location as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for advice to other store personnel.
• Maintain POS abilities and understand pricing methods.
• Assist with stock orders and report overages/shortages/damaged merchandise.
• Participate in training as needed and required.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
