Town Pump Company is seeking a Store Clerk to join our team in Glendive, MT. Starting pay is $16/hour with a $1/hour shift bonus for overnight hours (12am–8am), making a starting rate of $17/hour. The role covers customer service, cash handling, stocking, pricing, display, housekeeping, security, and deli duties in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and cash-handling abilities.
• Experience stocking, pricing, rotating and displaying merchandise.
• Ability to operate a cash register and process payments.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for customer service, cash handling, stocking, pricing, displaying merchandise, housekeeping, safety, security, and deli sales and cooking.
• Operate computerized cash register, give correct change, process payments, and bag merchandise.
• Remember regular customers, answer calls, monitor theft, and handle complaints.
• Stock shelves, finish shift duties, clean all areas, handle vendor check-ins and policy adherence.
• Maintain exterior areas, clean gas pumps and islands, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Keep hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment area, coffee and fountain areas stocked.

Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with ever-increasing opportunities for career growth.

As a Store Clerk Team Member, You Will

• be accountable for excellent customer service, cash handling and accounting, stocking, pricing, rotating, and displaying merchandise, housekeeping inside and outside of the store, store safety and store security, and deli food sales and cooking.
• Operate computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise.
• remember regular customers’ names and faces, answer and screen phone calls, police the store, detect shoplifters, and listen to and handle customer complaints.
• stock shelves and coolers, complete accurate and effective completion of shift work, clean and maintain all areas of the store, complete vendor check-in procedures, complete the protocol system and “drive off” controls, and advise the store manager of any situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance.
• sweep the lot, shovel snow, clean gas pumps, fill water/cleaning solution buckets on islands, and complete any other duties assigned by management.
• keep the hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, filled, and stocked.
• perform all deli duties in smaller locations as described in the deli job description.
