Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking an Operations Manager to drive a strong store experience and lead teams toward operational excellence. This role partners with store leaders to plan priorities, coach staff, and adapt quickly to business needs, with focus on inventory flow, labor planning, and merchandising execution.

You will work alongside experienced Store Directors and Managers to develop leadership capabilities, influence results, and ensure compliance with safety and sales standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Led departments of up to 40 team members while driving operational excellence and sales targets.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with ability to develop people.
• Solid business acumen with ability to interpret operational and financial data.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with inventory systems, order processing, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Sound judgment and decision‑making in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to complete required certifications including Firearms Sales and Power Industrial Truck.
