Job summary

Dollar Tree in Syracuse, NY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with store functions, help customers, and organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor.

This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage duties such as opening/closing procedures, inventory, scheduling, and cash handling. A high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; ability to read and explain directives

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention
• Keep store areas stocked and clean, including stockroom organization
• Protect company assets, including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Supervise and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff
• Ensure cleanliness of store and restock bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, take out trash
• Other duties as assigned
