Store Manager

Responsibilities:

• Recruit your team
• Train and develop your management team
• Train and develop your team on brand, product, and service

You oversee all aspects of the retail business, including budgets, sales targets, customer experience, staff experience, and operational excellence. You’ll continually assess your performance and seek feedback and growth opportunities.

Sales & Customer Experience

• Customer Service: collaborate with your team to exceed daily sales goals and provide a welcoming, inclusive customer experience
• Brand Education: communicate our values on Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, and Naked Packaging
• Product Passion: expand product knowledge and make informed recommendations
• Driving Sales: develop and execute business plans aligned with strategy to achieve KPIs and sales goals

Team Leadership

• Leadership Practices and Staff Development: coach and develop the team, create development plans, and provide constructive feedback
• Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging: promote a diverse, inclusive environment and DEIB training
• Engagement and Performance: make informed decisions on performance concerns and create action plans to improve engagement
• Recruitment and Selection: build a diverse team and ensure transparent interview and promotion processes

Operational Excellence

• Policies and Procedures: ensure compliance with time/attendance, breaks, product integrity, respectful workplace, health and safety, and budget adherence
• Stock and Inventory: manage orders, inventory, and waste within budget
• Visuals and Merchandising: implement merchandising plans and maintain a clean, engaging store environment
• Scheduling, Time, and Attendance: schedule appropriate staff for peak times and track breaks and meals within budget

Qualifications

Required

• 3-5 years managing in a retail environment
• Strong HR skills in hiring, scheduling, training, conflict resolution, and performance management
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organization and time management
• Strong customer service, supervisory, and sales skills
• Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
• Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekends

Preferred

• Experience with consultation-based customer service models
• Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching
• Proven track record of developing retail staff careers
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; adaptable to other systems
• Experience in cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
• Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages
