Insomnia Cookies is actively hiring for a full-time hourly Store Manager in Training (MIT) at our Harvard Square store located at 65 Mount Auburn ST, Cambridge MA 02138. We are seeking hospitality-focused individuals interested in joining our industry-leading, rapidly growing, and nationally recognized company!

What will I do as a MIT with Insomnia Cookies?

1. Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Operations Manager (GM) is not present.
2. Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries.
3. Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff.
4. Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, and Delivery Drivers) in the manager's absence.
5. Support the Store Operations Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling.
6. Ensure staff adherence to Insomnia Cookies' standards (baking, uniform, policies, etc.).
7. Focus on upselling and delivering excellent customer service, ensuring all team members do the same.

Desired skills and experience:

1. At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail store.
2. Experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly support staff.
3. Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
4. Proficiency in MS Office, Word, and our Applicant Tracking System.
5. Ability to work a 4-5 day week with 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thurs-Sun).
6. Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.
