Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in Greensboro, NC to support daily store operations and leadership. This role focuses on staffing, inventory management, merchandising and ensuring strong customer service while developing into a Store Manager position.

You will participate in recruiting, store maintenance, cash handling, and compliance with policies. The position involves occasional travel and the work environment is fast-paced and team-oriented.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Preference for bilingual Spanish speakers at certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stocking according to established practices.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and store paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Ensure cash handling, deposits and security procedures are followed.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and a safe environment.
• Operate the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete all required paperwork within deadlines.
