Industry-leading, nationally recognized late-night cookie retail brand is excited to open our newest store in the Bronx adjacent to Fordham University later this year. As a result, we are now actively interviewing for a Manager in Training (MIT) to join our new store opening team! What will I do as a MIT with Insomnia Cookies?

• Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Operations Manager (GM) is not present.
• Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries.
• Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff.
• Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, and Delivery Drivers) in the manager's absence.
• Support the Store Operations Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling.
• Ensure staff adhere to Insomnia Cookies' standards (baking, uniform, policies).
• Promote upselling and ensure excellent customer service from all team members.

Desired skills and experience:

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail store
• Experience conducting in-person interviews for hourly support staff
• Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Proficiency with MS Office, Word, and Applicant Tracking Systems
• Availability to work 4-5 days per week, including 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thurs-Sun)
• Must be 18 or older and legally eligible to work in the US

Compensation:

$21 - $23 an hour
