Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Store Manager to lead from the floor, energize the team, and deliver results across operations, coaching, and customer experiences.

You will balance labor, motivate a high-performing crew, and maintain an engaging, fast-paced store environment with a focus on metrics and service. Growth opportunities are emphasized through internal promotion and recognition.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of leadership experience where you’ve led teams and delivered results.
• Experience managing a store or large department — retail preferred but not required.
• Promotion from assistant or co-manager roles is a big plus.
• Comfort leading in fast-paced, high-volume, or high-complexity store environments.
• High School Graduate or equivalent is required or preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of management experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Creative thinking
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure

Essential Job Functions

• Frequently operate computer and printer, and occasionally operate cash register
• Occasionally ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stock
• Frequently position self to kneel, bend twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor
• Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Frequently move across the sales floor directing associates and assisting customers, as well as to and from the stockroom retrieving and putting away merchandise
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25lbs and place/move merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
• Ability to operate equipment such as ladders, pallet jacks, and handheld devices
• Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time

The pay range for this position is [$24.23 to $28.46 per hour]. Pay may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience; educational background; and geographic location. Dependent on the position offered, benefits, bonus and incentive payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
