Job Details: Location: 1096 Milledgeville Shell - MILLEDGEVILLE, GA 31061

Role and Responsibilities
  • Recruit continuously; seek the best candidates available in terms of attitude and skills.
  • Follow company hiring and training procedures.
  • Create a labor schedule that meets customer needs, company operations, and payroll budget, and post employee labor schedule on time.
  • Ensure that all store employees have the proper skills necessary for their position.
  • Periodically evaluate the skill level of each employee and identify weak areas.
  • Work in conjunction with the training department to improve the skills of each employee.
  • Develop at least one employee to whom Store Manager duties can be delegated effectively.
  • Enact company promotional campaigns on time.
  • Ensure that all customers receive the service promised in the mission statement.
  • Set individual sales goals with each store employee.
  • Ensure the unit is open and all products and services are available to customers during operating hours.
  • Merchandise product according to store plan‑ograms, following first in first out rotation.
  • Order stock according to merchandising goals and projected sales.
  • Set store objectives for each of the following areas based on overall company goals and work to accomplish those objectives through effective management:
    • Sales (All products offered for sale)
    • Payroll Expense
    • Asset Loss (Waste, Spoilage, Cash, and Inventory)
    • Facility Maintenance
    • Inventory Level
  • Communicate objectives to all store employees and assign tasks as necessary.
  • Oversee employees and store operations ensuring compliance with government regulations, company policy, and safety procedures.
  • Stay familiar with company manuals, bulletins, and other communications.
  • Protect company assets at all times.
  • Complete an Incident Report for all warranted events and forward to Risk Management.
  • Review financial transactions and monitor budget to ensure efficient operation and that expenditures stay within budget limitations.
  • Ensure that a report of store and food service operations and a bank deposit is completed daily.
  • Perform periodic store inspections to identify areas that do not meet operating standards and report any safety needs or concerns to Risk Management.
  • Ensure that all federal and state required postings and the Hazard Communication Guide are current and accessible to all store employees.
  • Ensure that all employees are following federal, state, and local laws and company policy concerning the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
  • Ensure that a Person In Charge is designated as required by health regulations.
  • Manage subordinate supervisors in the Assistant Manager position if applicable; be responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these supervisors.
  • Directly supervise 0–25 non‑supervisory employees.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizationʼs policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Manage all key areas of food service operations within the respective store personally or through subordinate employees.
  • Ensure that the standards of any operations within the store are met, including any additional required training.
  • Ensure food quality and safety standards are met through equipment cleaning, proper hygienic practices, and proper food storage and display.
  • Train all food service staff in quality and customer service performance standards.
  • Communicate new procedures to staff and manage implementation.
  • Order and maintain food service inventory.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail sales experience required; 2 years of retail management preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Basic math skills sufficient to complete orders, calculate inventory, and manage cash registers.
Physical Requirements
  • Describe sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing.
  • Describe medium work that includes moving objects up to 20, 50, or 80 pounds.
  • Operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Assess accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.
