Staples, Inc. Fort Collins is seeking a General Manager to lead a busy store, drive community relationships, and deliver strong sales and services. You will coach a diverse team, manage operations, and uphold Staples values in daily service and efficiency.

This role emphasizes consultative selling, profitability, and reliable execution in a fast-paced retail environment, with opportunities for career growth through development programs and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• 1+ year progressively responsible store management experience in a retail environment as a General/Store Manager.
• Store Operations experience with analysis, planning, financial acumen and driving results.
• Experience creating a customer centric environment and working in a consultative selling environment that provides customers a total solution.
• Experience developing a team in operational excellence to drive profitable year-over-year sales and margins.
• Ability to lead in a high paced environment and manage conflict constructively.

General Managers make a visible impact as a retail leader and business professional in driving their stores community relationships, merchandise sales, technical services portfolio, print services and business-to-business network. You will be collaborative and inclusive in helping our customers while spearheading a fun, team-oriented retail culture.

Essential skills and experience:

• 1+ year progressively responsible store management experience in a retail environment as a General/Store Manager
• Store Operations experience with analysis, planning, financial acumen and driving results
• Experience creating a customer centric environment and working in a consultative selling environment that provides customers a total solution
• Experience developing a team in operational excellence to drive profitable year-over-year sales and margins
• Ability to lead and work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range,climb ladders, stand and walk continuously

Preferred skills and experience:
