Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Akron, OH is seeking a Store Manager in Training to lead a high-energy team, recruit and train associates, and oversee daily store operations.

You will implement merchandising strategies from corporate, drive profitable results, and ensure exceptional customer service in a friendly, safe environment. The role emphasizes coaching, developing staff, and maintaining compliance with laws and company policies, while managing opening/closing procedures and protecting assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Must be able to lift up between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation is required.
