Job summary

Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace in Troy is seeking a Janitorial/Maintenance Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. You will clean restrooms, break rooms, floors, displays, and other areas, while following company cleaning protocols and safety guidelines.

The role requires reliable transportation, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed, and the flexibility to work early mornings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Janitorial experience preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for 8 or more hour periods.
• Must be able to sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch and crawl.
• Must be able to regularly bend, lift and/or move 25 pounds.
• Must be able to frequently bend, lift and/or move 50 pounds.
• Must be able to occasionally bend, lift and/or move 75 pounds (with assistance).

Responsibilities

• Properly, thoroughly and completely clean and sanitize restrooms, conference rooms, break rooms and other areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment according to safety guidelines.
• Complete outdoor maintenance and/or cleaning assignments.
• Clean and sanitize floors, displays and surfaces.
• Alert management to sanitation, safety or maintenance issues.
• Maintain a neat and hygienic appearance and follow grooming standards.
• Assist in training other employees and support other departments as needed.
