Job summary

Jared Jewelers, part of Signet Jewelers, seeks a Maintenance / Porter to support store upkeep and customer-facing cleanliness. You will perform general maintenance, maintain floors and windows, and ensure the exterior and break areas are orderly.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma or GED, a service orientation, a cooperative attitude, and basic tools skills, with ability to lift 50 lbs. Base pay is $15–$16/hour plus commission on sales.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Genuine desire to service customers in keeping stores orderly.
• Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
• Moderate interpersonal relations and communication skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, basic carpentry skills.
• Visual and auditory skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs all general maintenance inside and outside the store.
• Maintains sales floor appearance by sweeping spills and debris.
• Cleans and maintains restrooms on schedule.
• Cleans outside storefront and ensures trash containers are emptied.
• Monitors maintenance by contracted vendors.
• Cleans and maintains break room.
• Clears snow, slush or ice from entrance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
