Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a big box store Loss Prevention Manager to oversee LP functions at a specific location. You will lead assessments, investigations, and training to prevent loss and shrink, while coordinating with law enforcement and operations to protect people and assets.

The role requires 3-5 years LP/retail experience, strong customer service and analytical skills, and flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Loss Prevention experience or related retail experience
• Interview/Interrogation training and practical skills (Wicklander-Zulawski certification preferred)
• 4-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) - preferred
• Loss Prevention Qualified (LPQ) - preferred
• Loss Prevention Certified (LPC) - preferred
• Certified Forensic Interview (CFI) preferred
• Strong customer service and interpersonal/communication skills
• Advanced level of administration and technical knowledge of Loss Prevention systems and shrinkage controls
• Flexible availability – including nights, weekend, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Implement and coordinate all Loss Prevention best practices; train store associates and managers
• Conduct Loss Prevention assessments/investigations
• Ensure physical security of building and assets; manage alarm/cctv issues and changes in access
• Conduct MES training and new-hire training for specialized positions
• Detect, investigate, and document Organized Retail Crime and policy violations
• Analyze daily/weekly/monthly exception reports to identify opportunities
• Research and respond to cash over/short reporting
• Coordinate with Distribution Center LP to resolve merchandise flow and firearms issues
• Conduct Loss Prevention Assessments for compliance with company processes and legal requirements
• Support Shrink Coach in ensuring compliance of self-assessments
• Review operational processes for compliance and develop improvement tactics
