Job summary

Stillwater Milling is hiring a energetic team member to perform customer load outs of feed and heavy equipment in the store and yard. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and pass a drug screen and background check. Forklift experience is preferred and training will be provided.

  • Perform customer load outs of feed and heavy equipment in-store and in the yard.
  • Unloading and loading products, and assisting customers as needed.
  • Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment as training permits.

SUMMARY:

We are looking for an energetic go getter to do customer load outs of feed and heavy equipment in the store and yard. Must be willing to learn and able to lift 50lbs. Fork lift experience is great but we will train the right person. You MUST come in the store for an application. Facebook applications and messages will not be reviewed! MUST be able to pass drug screen and back ground check!

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Reading is an important aspect in loading the right products. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

A variety of products from 20# bags of cat food to large livestock equipment will be loaded by hand, wheeler, or forklift. You are constantly walking and reaching for products.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The general nature to the job is one in which you go in and out of the warehouse so one is exposed to the weather a lot. Dust from the parking area and products are in the air and can aggravate allergies. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places. Agricultural chemicals are sold through our Agri-Centers and it will be necessary to handle these containers when loading customers or unloading new shipments. These products are safe when handled properly. Mild vibration may be experienced when driving a forklift.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud due to forklifts and trucks but it is not an area that would require ear protection.
