Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager in Training to lead a busy neighborhood store and learn profitable operations through hands-on training.

You will focus on merchandising, signage, and display techniques to create an inviting shopping environment. You will recruit and develop associates, ensure compliance with policies, and drive daily store performance while delivering excellent customer service and protecting company assets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail management experience preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent movement as described.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising, coaching when needed.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies and procedures.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising directions from corporate headquarters.
• Help your store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
