Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts seeks an Assistant Manager in Training to support store operations and leadership development. You will work with the store and district management to recruit, onboard, and supervise staff while ensuring safety and efficiency across areas like sales, merchandising, and service.

You will train under the store manager and participate in performance evaluations, coaching, and development programs. This role is full-time with opportunities for growth within the network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members.
• Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations.
• Assist in hiring tasks: recruiting, interviewing, selecting qualified candidates.
• Support store manager and ensure safety compliance and training.
• Make sales calls and schedule weekly customer calls.
• Maintain delivery fleet and payroll systems; ensure store is neat and organized.
• Review KPI dashboard and P&L with store manager; discuss opportunities.
