Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor in Salem, Oregon. The successful candidate will be a member of the Store Leadership team, responsible for overseeing a specific area of the Store and managing operations when functioning as Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include opening and closing the Store, supervising Associates, and ensuring a safe and customer-friendly environment. Ideal candidates will have prior customer service and supervisory experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for opening and closing the Store.
• Supervising Associates and maintaining a friendly shopping environment.
• Ensuring security of the building.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of all Stockrooms.
