Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to supervise, train staff and ensure legal compliance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per laws and policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; address gaps or counseling needs.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open and close the store as needed; ensure daily staffing.
• Evaluate operating statements for trends and control opportunities; monitor shrink and errors.
• Oversee inventory planning, ordering, and weekly reviews of stock levels.
• Facilitate staging, stocking and storage of merchandise per company processes.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, pricing and signage per guidelines.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and cash controls.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and store security.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
