Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in running a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus.

You will supervise employees, assist with merchandise presentation, deposits, and paperwork while ensuring profitability and loss prevention. The role includes stocking, cashiering, planogram compliance, and upholding security practices to protect assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training; conduct safety meetings and ensure policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking, and displays.
