Job summary

Circle K Store in Lapel, Indiana is seeking a dedicated Customer Service / Retail Associate to join our full-time team. You will greet customers, assist with purchases, operate the cash register, and ensure accurate transactions while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

The role involves supervising staff during shifts, managing stock, merchandising, and following company procedures for sales and reporting. Reliable transportation and timely attendance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 6 months to 1 year of retail and management work experience preferred
• Knowledge of basic business and customer service principles including planning and organizing, resource management and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.
• Ability to handle customers and problems using standard procedures.
• Ability to work as scheduled and arrive on time.
• Must have valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Ability to work opposite shifts of Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly and attentive manner.
• Greet customers and assist with product suggestions.
• Manage cash register transactions accurately.
• Perform store cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Monitor product displays and stock to ensure freshness and accessibility.
• Supervise staff during shifts and assist with training.
• Maintain financial controls and keep accurate records.
• Report discrepancies to Store Manager.
