About The Job

The Store Lead supervises, manages, and motivates team members daily, focusing on long-term growth within our organization and community. As a first-level supervisor, you will be passionate about customer service, communication, teamwork, and results. You should be action-oriented to ensure smooth operations and collaborative problem-solving.

What You Will Do
  1. Open and close the store as needed.
  2. Support Front Desk staff in answering calls and returning messages/emails promptly.
  3. Assist customers online, over the phone, and in person with questions about cannabis laws, regulations, and inventory.
  4. Supervise sales activities of budtenders and ensure excellent customer service.
  5. Assist with training new employees and guide new hire mentors.
  6. Delegate duties and responsibilities during the MOD segment.
  7. Maintain inventory best practices in collaboration with the Inventory Manager.
  8. Manage daily cash handling and register operations.
  9. Ensure safety and security of guests, staff, and assets, responding rapidly to issues.
  10. Handle major incidents, emergencies, and natural disasters according to protocol.
  11. Enforce compliance SOPs to meet all legal requirements.
  12. Support Product Specialists with product knowledge and customer issue resolution.
  13. Maintain and enhance the store’s reputation.
  14. Stay informed on cannabis legislation, actions, and enforcement.
  15. Build trust with team members and brand partners.
  16. Provide growth opportunities for employees and foster a positive work environment.
  17. Represent the company at community events professionally.
  18. Attend meetings as required.
  19. Ensure compliance with internal, local, and state regulations.
  20. Maintain confidentiality and use discretion with sensitive information.
  21. Perform other related work as needed.
What We Are Looking For
  1. Must be 21+ years old.
  2. Retail management experience (minimum 1 year preferred).
  3. Customer service experience (minimum 3 years).
  4. Experience in the cannabis industry is highly desirable.
  5. Experience in medical services/health & wellness is highly desirable.
  6. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  7. Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  8. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  9. Proficiency in English (reading and writing).
  10. Proven team management skills and training excellence.
  11. Knowledge of medicinal effects of cannabis.
  12. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  13. Basic math and financial decision-making skills.
  14. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  15. Basic Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, InDesign).
  16. Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
  17. Passion for serving the medical cannabis community.
  18. Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
  19. Effective communication skills.
  20. Organized, patient, and flexible.
Compensation

The hourly pay range is $19.00 - $22.00, depending on skills, experience, and location.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  1. Normal, corrective vision; color vision; ability to distinguish letters, numbers, symbols.
  2. Lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
  3. Climb, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit, stand, bend, reach.
  4. Operate related equipment requiring manual dexterity.
  5. Normal hearing range.
  6. No allergies or fears of insects.
