Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a General Manager in Houma, LA to drive profitability for a single location and lead up to 45 employees. You will focus on friendly service, food execution, cleanliness, talent development, and overall store success.

The role requires extensive supervisory experience in high-volume environments, strong financial acumen, and a commitment to food safety and guest satisfaction. A Manager Food Handler certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed or in progress.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in food service, retail, or restaurant.
• Experience in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environments.
• Ability to analyze store financial performance (profit and loss).
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of labor laws and staffing best practices.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Must obtain and maintain Manager Food Handler certification.
• May require an alcohol server permit depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Execute the store plan to ensure brand consistency and guest experience.
• Foster a Guest-Obsessed culture and coach team members accordingly.
• Improve spirits during busy times to create a positive environment.
• Maintain food safety standards through coaching and checks.
• Develop sales and marketing strategies to support food promotions.
• Identify compliance gaps and coordinate with leadership to meet requirements.
• Oversee training for Co-Managers and Shift Managers.
• Manage inventory practices, audits, and discrepancy investigations.
• Analyze sales, margin, shrink, and labor to drive action plans.
• Visit competitors to gather insights and drive improvements.
• Communicate with vendors about orders and schedules.
• Ensure clear communication across all shifts and accurate payroll.
