Store - ASHEVILLE, NC

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver Brand Promises. Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop, and assist them in finding what they’re looking for.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for cleaning and place them back in correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• May mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Deep clean key areas of the store, including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high-traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, in keeping with the organization’s vision and values.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.

Other duties

• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Work Environment

• Public retail store setting with climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or unload trucks; frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press; work hours may include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
• Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
