Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a delivery driver to service professional customers and do-it-yourself sales in a store environment. You will deliver parts, collect payments, and promote loyalty programs while maintaining accurate back stock and clean facilities.

The role requires strong customer service, basic math, and safety awareness, with flexibility to work various shifts and weekends. Automotive parts experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English; Spanish a plus.
• Read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, parts catalogs.
• Perform basic math accurately for transactions and measurements.
• Able to work days, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Confident in engaging customers and promoting products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parts to pro customers and pick up returns.
• Drop off flyers and promote current sales and loyalty programs.
• Collect credit accounts daily and maintain part stock.
• Build relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers; share delivery insights.
• Upsell and cross-sell products to increase transaction value.
• Keep store clean and stocked; perform cycle counts and back stock.</br>Other duties as assigned

Position Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned

Prior Experience that Sets a Driver up for Success

• Automotive parts experience is preferred

Compensation Range

The good faith estimate for this role is between 16.40 USD and 17.75 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on a number of factors, including geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other skillsets ideal for this position and shift differential (if applicable).
