Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Driver to service pro customers. You will pick, stage and safely deliver parts, handle returns, promote sales programs and assist with credit accounts. Build customer relationships, upsell products and maintain store organization.

The role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends, and strong English communication skills. Safety and inventory knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English. Spanish a plus, ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers and leadership.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operation manuals and parts catalogs.
• Use basic math accurately for transactions and counts.
• Ability to work days, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Confident in engaging customers and promoting products.
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parts to pro customers and pick up returns/cores.
• Promote current sales and loyalty programs during deliveries.
• Daily collection of credit accounts.
• Build relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers; share delivery insights.
• Upsell and cross-sell products to increase transaction value.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organize stock and inventory.
• Engage with walk-in customers to assess needs and recommend parts/services.
• Assist with general stocking and cycle counts.

Position Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers


• Pick up returns and cores


• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs


• Daily collection of credit accounts


• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries


• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value


• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot


• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts


• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales


• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services


• Other duties as assigned

Compensation Range

The good faith estimate for this role is between 13.50 USD and 14.61 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on a number of factors, including geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other skillsets ideal for this position and shift differential (if applicable).
