Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Driver to responsibly deliver parts to pro customers and manage returns, stock and daily credit collections. You will promote loyalty programs, upsell products, and maintain showroom and back stock areas.

You’ll build relationships with major pro customers and learn the inventory system. Ideal candidates have an automotive parts background, a valid driver’s license and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Automotive parts experience is preferred.
• Read and interpret safety rules, manuals and parts catalogs.
• Be able to work days, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
• Pick up returns and cores.
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers and promote loyalty programs.
• Daily collection of credit accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers; provide CPP insights from deliveries.
• Assist in upselling and cross‑selling products to increase average transaction value.
• Maintain store cleanliness and stock including back stock and cycle counts.
• Engage with walk‑in customers to understand needs and recommend parts or services.

Job description

Position Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
• Assist in upselling and cross‑selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk‑in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques

Prior Experience That Sets a Driver Up For Success

• Automotive parts experience is preferred
