Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Rockville, MD is seeking a Delivery Driver to pick, stage, and safely deliver automotive parts to pro customers. You will also pick up returns, distribute flyers, and manage daily credit accounts while building strong relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers.

You will upsell and cross-sell products to raise transaction value and keep the store clean and stocked. The role requires physical effort and flexible scheduling including weekends.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Automotive parts experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work days, evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals.

  • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
  • Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
  • Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
Prior Experience that Sets a Driver up for Success
  • Automotive parts experience is preferred
Education

Compensation Range

The good faith estimate for this role is between 18.05 USD and 19.54 USD per hour for a new team member.

The rate offered depends on a number of factors, including geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other skillsets ideal for this position and shift differential (if applicable).
