Job summary

Advance Auto Parts seeks a Driver in the Bluefield area to pick, stage and deliver parts to pro customers, while building lasting customer relationships and maintaining store cleanliness. You will handle returns, assist with loyalty promotions, and help with inventory control.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license and a track record of safe driving, strong communication, and a sales mindset to upsell and cross-sell products.

Essential Job Skills Necessary For Success As a Driver

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques

Prior Experience That Sets a Driver Up For Success

• Automotive parts experience is preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
